On Wednesday February 7, 7:18 am crews were dispatched for a reported attic fire. Upon arrival crews found fire in the attic at 169 South Whitfield Street. Fire was under control at approximately 8am and declared out at 830am. Crews remained on scene performing overhaul until 10:10 am. Station 50 was assisted by Upper Nazareth station 54, Palmer Township Station 27 (RIT), and Forks Township station 25. 169 S. Whitfield suffered fire, smoke and water damage and is uninhabitedle , 167 S. Whitfield suffered smoke and water damage and is also uninhabitable. The residents of both homes are being assisted be the Red Cross. There were no civilian injuries and one firefighter suffered a minor hand injury and was treated and released from the hospital.
