At approximately 15:30 hours on June 30th Vigilance Hose was dispatched to a reported MVA with injuries and airbag deployment on Bacon street. Upon arrival it was found that the operator of the vehicle had hit a telephone pole and severed the pole. Crews extricated the patient and Nazareth ambulance transported the patient to St. Luke’s Bethlehem hospital for minor non-life threatening injuries. Crews remained on scene providing traffic control and fire watch until Met Ed arrived to cut power to the involved pole and provide support to the pole so that the vehicle could be safely removed. The scene was then turned over to Met Ed so they could replace the broken pole.
