Motor Vehicle Accident 12/20/23

At 1507 hrs, Fire 50 was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries. A short time later Police arrived on scene and crews were advised that there was heavy entrapment in one vehicle. 5069, foreman Fagan, added Fire 53 for the rescue immediately. Lower Nazareth Fire department Chief 5351 (Brooks) was first on scene and established command. Rescue 5041 arrived at 1521 hours immediately began stabilizing the vehicle and setting up for and extrication. Rescue 5341 arrived moments later and assisted with the extrication.
Extrication was completed 22 minutes after the arrival of Station 50 and 53 crews. The driver was transported to the hospital by Nazareth Regional EMS. The roadway was re-opened at 1704 hours when police concluded their on-scene investigation.
