A vehicle driving west on Rout 248 just before the "S-Turn" by Lehigh-Hanson Cement Plant 3 near Georgetown Road struck a slow-moving train. The driver was unable to stop the vehicle for the train, which dragged the car off the road and eventually overturned as a result. The driver was able to self-extricate through a rear passenger door and refused treatment with no injuries reported.

Vigilance Hose Firefighters responded for traffic control and precautionary fire suppression, and scene lighting for police and Norfolk-Southern railroad investigation. Upper Nazareth Township Volunteer Fire Dept. also assisted with traffic control at Gracedale Ave. as well as Christian Springs Rd. LaBarre's Towing removed the car from the scene.
