Congratulations to Lieutenants Frank Betz III and Wade VanBuskirk on being presented awards for excellent service to their department and their community. Frank is our Fire Dept. Training Officer and over the past few years has taken our Departments training standards to a much higher level. He has the task of scheduling training courses through Bucks and Northampton county Community Colleges, and many other resources for our firefighters education. He also oversees the individual firefighters training and helps them reach their educational goals in the fire service. The better we are trained, the better we can serve our community.
Wade handles all of our fire prevention tasks including the annual fire prevention week visits to our schools. Over the last few years he has absolutely changed the fire prevention week demonstrations and has made them better than ever. This year, even with COVID-19 restrictions, he was determined to keep fire prevention and fire safety alive in the school curriculum. He and a few others made a fantastic fire prevention video that was sent to the schools to ensure that the students still got their fire prevention lesson. The video is also shared on our website and social media outlets.
